18 wks

Today heat-producing brown fat begins to form at the base of the baby's neck, by the breastbone, and near the urethra-the tube that passes urine out of the body. Brown fat has a protective function: It helps keep he baby warm in cold environments. Brown fat exists in newborns, but only vestiges of brown fat remain to adulthood.

very interesting...

15 wks

15 wks!! I am starting not to feel sick all the time, which is really awesome. I have my doctor appointment next week, its going to be a normal one, they won't do anything special. The 3D ultrasound place won't take me as a patient because I'm not doing the test for down syndrome, which completely sucks, so I will have to wait until I hit 20 weeks and the military gives me my next one.

I am starting to feel the pressure on the top of my stomach like things are for sure moving around in there. I was able to go to the gym this week for the first time in weeks, that's the only place I'm able to weigh myself, good news is I'm still at the same weight I don't remember when I started gaining with Kailey, but I like how its going. I have read your supposed to gain 2-5 pounds for your first tri... and now that I'm in my second I would have thought for sure, so pounds would have been packed on, but I'm pleasantly surprised. Me not liking food, could have something to do with... Ya never know.. lol.
ENERGY- GOOD
TUMMY- GROWING

All dressed up

Last night Adam took me to his squadron Christmas party. We had a blast... his co-workers are crazy, but I laughed so hard. The best part was that I was able to take off my sweats and get dressed up.

14 Weeks

At 14 weeks I'm still very tired, food isn't something that I like yet and I'm stressed! I have my next appointment in 2 weeks at 16 weeks. My plan is to get a ultrasound at 17 weeks when I'm home on leave, which means we will know the sex of the baby.

11 Weeks 1 day

This is my lil baby at 11 weeks 1 day. As you can see he/she has 2 hands, 2 feet, a tummy and a big old head! We are both doing great. After talking to the doctor I decided on waiting 5 more weeks before deciding if I will go ahead with the VBAC. They are telling me if I go with a C-Section it will be nothing like my first. Which I believe. I just have Kaileys birth in my head and it scares me to death!

10 weeks

This week I turned 10 weeks, and it was a rough week. I got the flu last Friday and it lasted 4 days. It was very hard being sick to my stomach then nausea on top of that. I ended up losing about 4 lbs, which isn't good but I know it will come back. This week I had Adam take 2 different photos, the first one I look huge in and I thought no way am I already that big at 10 weeks. So I made him take another one, which turned out about the same. So Adam came to the conclusion that I'm just getting bigger. I think the camera makes me look huge!!

8 weeks

This week was very interesting. On Thursday I started the day like any normal Thursday. Gym... played a little basketball, then off to work. At work my stomach started to tighten and cramp which really started to scare me so I had Adam pick me up and take me to the hospital. After they took pee, blood, did a pelvic exam and an ultrasound they final found out what was going on. I personally thought I had lost the baby, but good/bad news was coming my way. The baby was fine, had a heart beat around 150. But, they did find a cyst on my left ovary which they think might be causing the pain. So in the end everything is okay, and they will monitor the cyst and make sure its not growing.

My stomach is growing fast, much faster than the first. I don't think I started showing untill about 16 or so weeks. I have hit 8 wks and the buldge is there.

First Appointment

So today I had my first OB appointment. It wasn't what I expected, it was with 2 other girls and the nurse just explained what we should be feeling the changes that are going to be happening and what not. I elected not to have the screening test for birth defects or cystic fibrosis. After what happened with Kailey I just can't put myself through it. I did talk to the nurse about being referred off base and there is a good chance that I will since I want to have a vaginal birth instead of a repeat C-Section. They can only provide me with a C-Section on base. So its looking good. I at least want to talk to a doctor and see what my options are... I wasn't able to push Kailey out and there is a chance that it could happen again. But, I want to be positive. So my next appointment will be around 10 - 12 weeks and I will get to hear the babies heart beat and have my first ultrasound. I'm very excited!

Mood= okay
nausea= heck yeah!!
Energy level= tired

Baby number 2

Adam and I are expecting our second child this June. We are both extremely happy. Kailey has been telling me for about a month now that I had a baby in my tummy and now I believe her. I guess kids just know! :)

I haven't gotten sick yet, but I have felt very nausea, especially when I don't eat every few hours. I wouldn't say that I'm showing yet, just looks like a bunch of fat! ha ha!
